Optical ultra precision detection and processing

There are features and advantages in the field of optical ultra precision measurement and large aperture optical aspheric surface processing and testing. These technologies include the freeform surface measurement technology of differential confocal principle/ differential astigmatic principle, four-dimensional detection technology of confocal Raman theory, ultra precision air bearing linear guide driven positioning technology/air bearing turntable driving and positioning technology, closed-loop two-dimension flexible hinge micro displacement driving and control technology, the nano precision capacitive displacement measurement technique with double equipotential ring protection, automatic focusing control technology of closed loop voice coil motor, air bag polishing technology for large aperture optical aspheric surface machining, subsurface damage and defect detection/protection techniques for optical materials, machining control technology of large aperture optical aspheric surface, research and development of large aperture optical aspheric surface processing equipment etc. We have a provincial excellent innovation team, having won the first prize in the military science and technology progress and the 3rd prize in Fujian provincial science and Technology Progress etc.

Energy control and smart power grid

The electric energy conversion, storage, management and scheduling are the research characteristics in this direction which belongs to the electrical engineering first class discipline. The basic theory is focused on energy transformation taking power electronic converter as a core and energy management based on optimization algorithm. Power electronics technology is concerned with advanced power electronics devices, wireless power transmission technology, high power special power, complex power electronic modeling and multi time space electromagnetic forming technology. Outstanding research results have been achieved in the power electronic converter based on the Z source and the switching capacitor. Optimization algorithm involves complex power system modeling and optimal operation of power system. In the particle swarm optimization algorithm, the results are significant. In the field of engineering application, the research focuses on the power electronic technology and the optimized operation method for the new energy power generation in the smart grid, at the same time covering industrial field testing and advanced control, as well as renewable micro energy technology.

Biomedical instruments and analytical instruments

In the direction of biomedical instrument, the main research work is about ophthalmic optical diagnostic instrument, ophthalmopathy adjuvant therapy instrument and surgical lighting, camera, remote wireless image transmission integration system, biological cell micro control system. The prominent achievements in biomedical instrumentation and POCT instant detector have been made and the interdisciplinary combination of instrument science and clinical medicine has been realized. In the direction of analytical instruments there are some features in the mass spectrometry and Raman spectroscopy technology including developing the first domestically produced high resolution electrospray ionization source time of flight mass spectrometer, laser ablation and ionization source time of flight mass spectrometer and completing the China's first full two-dimensional gas phase chromatography time of flight mass spectrometry and the matrix assisted laser desorption ionization time of flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF-MS). The technology of Raman spectroscopy has been applied to the research of international level in basic theory and key technology and have realized the industrialized application.

Health Monitoring of major engineering projects

As the leaders in this field, Professor Qing Xinlin, the expert of " Thousand Talents Program" and Professor Zeng Zhiwei, one of the New Century Excellent Talents of the Ministry of Education, are carrying out the research in advanced sensor technology, nondestructive detection, structural health monitoring and management, and smart structures. In the basic theory, they focus on the research of ultrasonic guide wave and electric eddy current damage detection / monitoring mechanism as well as the health management of large scale construction equipment which integrates sensing, monitoring, diagnosis and prediction. In engineering application, the key technologies of sensor network and the quantitative monitoring of aircraft structural damage are studied. The work above is based on the subject of Instrument Science and technology, and it is a model for the study of interdisciplinary research.
